History
Founded in 1968 as Konservatori Tari (KORI) in Bandung, it evolved into Akademi Seni Tari Indonesia (ASTI) Bandung in 1971 and later became Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia (STSI) in 1995, eventually becoming ISBI as part of the MP3EI plan to improve access to higher education in the arts.
