Beirut Film Society

Beirut Film Society is a non-profit association based in Beirut that collaborates with Lebanese and international filmmakers and film organizations to strengthen the film industry in Lebanon and the Arab world. Through cinema, the society raises awareness about pressing social issues and organizes film events both locally and internationally, using film as an educational tool to promote human rights and showcase Lebanese culture through Lebanese films. It empowers young people across Lebanon, especially in rural areas, to use cinema and audiovisual media as tools for self-expression and social change. The society also leads initiatives under the banner of "Cinema for a Cause," addressing topics such as gender equality, women's rights, children's rights, and peacebuilding through film screenings, training sessions, seminars, workshops, and networking events.
