The Birmingham Boardgamers is a board game group hosting weekly events in the Birmingham area.

The Birmingham Boardgamers is a community group that organizes weekly boardgaming events in the Birmingham area. The group welcomes everyone, from experienced players with large collections to curious newcomers who have only played classic family games. Their goal is to be both a great gathering spot for veteran gamers and a friendly gateway for anyone interested in learning more about board games. Events listed on their site are free, and attendees don't need to bring anything, though they encourage people to bring a few of their favorite games so that a good selection is available. Each listed event has a dedicated host who makes sure you get into a game on your first visit. If you're new to a game, they happily teach it before playing, and it's very unusual for them to play a game where nobody at the table needs to be taught. The group is always looking for new places to play together, and they also maintain a Facebook page where you can connect with them. While individual venues may have their own safety policies and local restrictions can change, the group strives to keep its event listings updated with only those events known to have resumed.
