Tari Tangkap Cakalang
Tari Tangkap Cakalang is a traditional dance created in Bitung that tells the story of a fisherman's life and the life of the fish called cakalang. It is performed by pairs of children from Bitung, with boys playing the fisherman and girls playing the cakalang fish. The dance is performed in three parts, each depicting different aspects of the fisherman's life and the fish's world.

History
Tari Tangkap Cakalang was created in 2006 by Bpk. Alan Ruknis, inspired by Bitung's coastal location and the lives of fishermen and cakalang fish. It gained recognition at a provincial tourism competition in 2007 and was performed internationally at the Sail Bunaken event in 2009.
