Originado em 2010 como Camerata Ataíde em homenagem a Manoel da Costa Ataíde, o grupo passou a ser regido em 2011 pelo Maestro Adeilton Bairral, recebeu a denominação de Camerata de Música Antiga da UnB em 2013 e adotou o nome atual em 2025.
