Wizards Game Room

The Wizards Game Room is Cape Town’s dedicated space for board gaming and tabletop fun, housed inside the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory. It preserves the Chris Legg collection of board games, including many rare and hard-to-find titles once sold at the original Wizards Books & Games store, offering visitors a chance to play them on-site. Whether you’re a casual player or a seasoned strategist, the room welcomes all skill levels and provides a relaxed, social atmosphere where new and experienced players mix freely. The space features a large collection spanning modern, classic, and niche games, along with regular events that bring the community together, including popular Friday Night Board Games. Located at the Cape Town Science Centre, the room is easy to find on the first floor and offers free parking in the centre’s lot.
