Founded in 1981, Venados is a longstanding running group based in Pilsen, Chicago, dedicated to serving the neighborhood and advocating for better race conditions and women's participation in the sport. As one of the cornerstones of the city's running community alongside CARA and Frontrunners, Venados has historically gone hand-in-hand with the fight for visibility and representation in the running industry. Whether you are looking for a specific neighborhood group or simply want to connect with established running traditions, Venados stands as a testament to the enduring power of community in Chicago's running scene.
