Senior Citizens Forum Chittorgarh advocates for elderly welfare and rights in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

The Senior Citizens Forum Chittorgarh, in collaboration with the Senior Citizens Institute Rajasthan Working Committee, organized an online seminar on World Senior Citizens Day to address statewide issues affecting the elderly. During the event, chaired by provincial president Bhanwar Seth, participants discussed challenges faced by seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic and submitted a five-point demand letter to the Chief Minister. Key demands included establishing tribunals in every district under the Senior Citizens Act 2007 with representation from the Institute, implementing active police beat systems at the tehsil level for senior safety, providing free online medical consultations and home delivery of medicines at nominal charges, building fully equipped old age homes in each district under the Institute's supervision, and allocating senior citizen community buildings with indoor games and libraries. The forum also honored 25 seniors aged over 80 years. Additional suggestions included a group insurance scheme for seniors funded jointly by the forum and government, and honoring caregivers on Senior Citizens Day. The seminar featured addresses from former MLA Surendra Singh Jadavat, Municipal Council Chairman Sandeep Sharma, and other dignitaries, highlighting the forum's advocacy role for senior welfare in the region.
