Der Bau eines protestantischen Gotteshauses war eine Herzensangelegenheit und ein finanzielles Abenteuer zugleich. Die kleine Gruppe von Protestanten erwarb die sogenannte Stadlersche Scheune in der Weedgasse und verwandelte sie in eine Kirche.
