Care Fresno is a non-profit in Fresno providing after-school programs and resources to under-resourced communities.

Care Fresno is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to providing resources to under-resourced communities in Fresno County. Originally formed in 1995 by the Fresno Police Department and faith-based leaders to decrease crime, the organization continues its mission by focusing on creating safe and healthy spaces for children. This is achieved primarily through After-School Programs operating in six different neighborhoods throughout the county. The program offers a supportive environment where children can hang out with peers, enjoy healthy snacks, receive academic assistance in reading and math, learn about the word of God, and build positive relationships with role models. These role models include site leads who live in the community full-time, as well as college and high school student volunteers, and others of multiple age ranges who wish to give back. Through these after-school programs and mentoring initiatives, Care Fresno aims to leave a lasting positive impact on the students who join, empowering them to become positive role models in their own future endeavors. For more information regarding the types of programs offered, ways to contribute, or how to contact the organization, interested parties are encouraged to explore the available options or follow the group on social media.
