History
Orustkören Hör och Häpna started in 1984 as a Valborg choir led by Birgitta Alexandersson, with members mainly from Svanesund and Henån. The group evolved to include concerts, choir theater productions, and collaborations with other choirs. After a period of inactivity, the choir was revitalized in 1993 by Anita Svenson, who served as conductor until 2018. Klara Wachtmeister took over as conductor in 2019 following Anita's health issues. The choir continues to perform annually at Valborg and Advent, organizing special productions and concerts in Ängås school and local venues.
