Runclub.VN is a mixed-pace running community in Ho Chi Minh City designed for runners of all levels, with a focus on beginner-friendly participation. The group meets several nights a week across multiple locations including Sala District 2, District 7, Thao Dien, and Ba Son. Typical meeting times include Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 5:30am, and Sundays at 4:30pm. Runners often gather at the Flower Bridge in Sala, though schedules may rotate. Beyond scheduled group runs, the city offers several excellent running routes, such as the 8.7km traffic-free Nhieu Loc–Thi Nghe Canal, the scenic Saigon Riverfront path, and the shaded loops of Tao Dan Park in District 1. The dry season from December to April is generally preferred for running due to cooler temperatures, while the wet season requires early morning or evening runs to avoid humidity and afternoon downpours. Runclub.VN was founded by a Dutch expat and fosters a diverse community of Vietnamese and international runners. Communication and coordination for the group occur in English via Facebook, Meetup, and Instagram. While there is no official parkrun in Ho Chi Minh City, these Facebook and Meetup-based clubs provide reliable, free, scheduled group runs for locals and expats alike.
