भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स जिला संघ बस्तर, जगदलपुर में स्वयंसेवी समूह

The Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association Bastar, based in Jagdalpur, has recently launched a community‑driven water‑drinking station in partnership with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Ghatlophanga. Set up at the local passenger waiting area, the cool‑water kiosk provides clean, chilled drinking water to travelers, laborers and villagers coping with the intense summer heat. For an entire month, members of the Subhash Chandra Bose Scout unit and the Indira Guide team will staff the kiosk, offering water and raising awareness about heat‑related health risks. The inauguration was performed by the village sarpanch Diya Bhadre and deputy sarpanch Yamuna Tiwari, with local representatives, teachers, and many citizens in attendance. The initiative receives guidance from senior officials including State Chief Commissioner Inderjit Singh Khalsa, State Secretary Brajesh Bajpai, District Chief Commissioner Sanjay Pandey and District Education Officer B.R. Baghel. By handling all responsibilities themselves, the young volunteers demonstrate self‑less service and reinforce the spirit of humanitarian aid in the Bastar region.
