Kashgar Prefecture Association of Senior Science and Technology Workers, Kashgar.

The Kashgar Prefecture Association of Senior Science and Technology Workers was established on December 30, 2017, to unite and lead senior science and technology workers in contributing to regional development. Under the leadership of the Prefecture Party Committee and the Administrative Office, the association has actively engaged in science popularization, technical services, and cultural activities to improve scientific literacy and enrich the lives of its members. In 2025, it launched the Hundred-Day Science Popularization Campaign, visiting Yecheng, Maigaiti, and Marabishi counties to deliver knowledge on physics, fire safety, meteorology, and health through interactive performances and contests. The association also provided expert technical services for quinoa cultivation, conducting soil testing and research at demonstration bases across multiple counties. Additionally, it participated in cultural events, including a gala celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, showcasing the spirit of retired professionals. Through these efforts, the association serves as a bridge for senior workers of all ethnic groups to continue their contributions to the economy and society.
