Marikina Bikeways Program

History
Marikina initiated a bikeways program in 2002 funded by a $1.3 million grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The program established a 52-kilometer bike lane network, making Marikina the first city in Metro Manila to establish bicycle lanes.
