Melbourne Bicycle Touring Club promotes cycle touring and active lifestyles in Melbourne.

The Melbourne Bicycle Touring Club, founded in October 1973, is a community group dedicated to promoting cycle touring and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle among its members. The club places a strong emphasis on using public transport, particularly the suburban and country train networks, to access and return from its rides. By organizing group rides and advocating for better cycling infrastructure, the MBTC fosters a sense of community among cyclists while making touring accessible to a wider audience. The club’s activities reflect a commitment to sustainable transport and outdoor recreation, aligning with Melbourne’s evolving cycling culture. Through shared experiences and advocacy, the MBTC plays a role in shaping the city’s cycling landscape.
