History
Founded in 1972 by Mithu Alur after her daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, the organization started as The Spastics Society of India. It established a special school in Colaba, Mumbai, in 1973 and later expanded to run centers in Colaba, Dharavi, Bandra, and Chembur, while also operating special schools and rehabilitation programs across 16 Indian states.
