The Senior Citizen's Club for retirees in Sector 20, Noida.
The Senior Citizen's Club, launched by the Residents Welfare Association of Sector 20 in Noida, offers a dedicated space for the area’s retired residents. Inaugurated by Noida Authority ACEO V K Pawar, the 1,500‑square‑foot facility is housed within the sector’s community centre and is open to all senior citizens living in the neighbourhood. The club features three purpose‑built rooms: a yoga hall for gentle exercise, a library stocked with religious and philosophical works as well as a range of newspapers and magazines, and a recreation room equipped with indoor games such as carrom, ludo and chess. The interiors have been upgraded with tiled floors, carpeted corridors, about one hundred chairs and several tables, and plans are underway to add an LCD TV and a cooler. Funded with Rs 3 lakh from the RWA, the club is maintained by the association and aims to reduce loneliness among the roughly 20,000 residents of the sector, many of whom are widows, widowers or living with extended families. At its opening, registrations quickly reached a hundred members.
