Riverside Choral Society – a choir based in Riverside.

The Riverside Choral Society is a community choir that brings together singers from the Riverside area to perform a wide range of choral repertoire. In the 2026‑27 season the group will present a series of concerts that showcase both Baroque and Romantic works, including pieces by Bach, Monteverdi, Brahms and Rheinberger. The first concert will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2026, at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Times Square, where the choir will explore sacred and secular texts that lift listeners toward the divine. The spring concert, scheduled for Friday, May 14, 2027, will be held at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Little Italy and will feature Iberian inflections with works such as Castelnuovo‑Tedesco’s Romancero Gitano and Schumann’s Spanisches Liederspiel. Auditions are open for new members, and the society encourages community support through donations, a digital storefront for choir merchandise, and an email list that keeps members informed about upcoming events. The Riverside Choral Society invites anyone interested in choral music to join or attend its concerts, celebrating the power of song to inspire faith, hope, and community spirit.
