Swayam Samajik Vikas Sanstha
Swayam Samajik Vikas Sanstha volunteers in Satara for rural development.
Swayam Samajik Vikas Sanstha, founded in 2017 in Satara, is a volunteer‑driven organisation dedicated to the holistic development of rural communities. Its programmes target key areas such as livelihood, education, health, rural development and the environment, aiming to regenerate the rural economy through education and community‑based initiatives. By supporting poor rural families, the Sanstha seeks to restore self‑respect, self‑esteem and confidence, helping people become self‑sufficient. The organisation places particular emphasis on the pivotal role of women, fostering women‑empowerment and strong community groups. Its range of activities includes solid‑waste management, sports, relief work, biodiversity conservation, water management and awareness campaigns, all designed to create sustainable change. Through an integrated development approach, Swayam works to build resilient households and villages, encouraging participation from men, women, youth and transgender members alike. The group invites partners and volunteers to join its efforts in improving the lives of rural residents across Satara and surrounding districts.
