Solapur Social, Educational & Research Centre (SSE&RC) is a registered society operating in Solapur, Maharashtra, with a focus on community awareness, health, and educational activities at the grassroots level. For two decades, the organization has engaged with powerloom, handloom, and bidi workers in areas such as Gandhi Nagar, MIDC Industrial Area, and Bidi Gharkul on Akkalkot Road. Its initiatives include health awareness programs, medical health check-up camps for textile, handloom, and bidi workers, as well as women and youth development programs and educational awareness campaigns. Driven by a vision to empower marginalized communities through quality healthcare, education, and skill development, the center also conducts research concerning the health of vulnerable groups, such as the children of bidi workers. SSE&RC is affiliated with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Solapur, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, and welcomes individuals interested in supporting, volunteering, or partnering with its community welfare projects.
