Bikes 4 Life recycles discarded bikes in Sydney to support social justice locally and abroad.

Bikes 4 Life is a Sydney-based community group dedicated to alleviating poverty and social injustice through the recycling and restoration of discarded bicycles. Operating from the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre in Terry Hills, the group collects unwanted bikes, refurbishes them, and redistributes them to those in need both in Australia and overseas. Their work not only provides affordable transportation to individuals and families but also promotes sustainability by reducing waste and encouraging reuse. The initiative fosters a sense of community among volunteers and beneficiaries alike, offering a practical solution to mobility challenges while advocating for equitable access to resources. Through hands-on workshops and collaborative efforts, Bikes 4 Life empowers people to participate in cycling culture while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
