Circles

Circles: a Sydney language‑exchange group hosting social events with games and mocktails.

Circles is a language‑exchange community based in Sydney that brings people together every month for informal gatherings. The group’s signature Wednesday events feature real games, mocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere where attendees can practice languages while socialising. In addition to the core Wednesday meet‑ups, Circles hosts a variety of themed nights such as a Japanese bar meetup, a Japanese food and culture experience, and an overseas party that blends social club vibes with language practice. The events are open to a wide range of languages, from Japanese and Russian to Spanish and Italian, and they cater to both newcomers and long‑time residents. With a focus on friendly conversation, cultural exchange, and a welcoming environment, Circles provides a space for people aged 18–35 and beyond to meet new friends, improve language skills, and enjoy a night out in the city. Each gathering is free to join and encourages participants to bring a friend, fostering a supportive community where language barriers are broken through shared laughter and cultural curiosity.
