History
JCM was founded on October 29, 1993, at IAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, initially as a student unit for film appreciation and later formalized as a student organization (UKM) in 1997. It has grown into a major film production hub in Yogyakarta, producing dozens of films annually and hosting regular workshops, screenings, and festivals.
