Ashray Social Welfare Foundation is a non-government organization rooted in philanthropic values for the empowerment of the people in the underserved rural areas of Ahmedabad. Their efforts are directed in providing the vulnerable sections of the society a respectable life without having to migrate to urban areas in search of livelihood. Their major role is to act as a catalyst to channelize and fine-tune the local skills and potentially available in the rural sectors, redefine them to make them self reliant and self-sufficient for a bright and healthy future. The mission includes providing sustainable livelihood options, basic amenities, health and medical facilities, training and empowering women and youth, educating children, and working on environmental issues.
