Bangkok Golden Years Seniors is a support group for seniors over 60 years of age, primarily composed of expats but also including Thai members. Members are generally semi-retired and spend most of their time in Thailand. The group exchanges information regarding issues pertinent to aging, covering various aspects of physical and mental health, financial planning, insurance, robotic support systems, home technology, and home health care management. A primary focus is identifying and sharing information about facilities and services available to support senior independent living and care. Members are encouraged to assist in organizing providers to speak with the group. The organization hosts a monthly Speaker's program, an active Writer's Group, a Book Club, Line Dance sessions, excursions, and luncheon socials. Members are invited to contribute ideas through planning meetings to help organize social or community activities for seniors, such as visiting housebound elders, and to assist in arranging and participating in excursions and entertaining social meetings.
