History
Formed in 1999 following the Parliament of World Religions gathering in Cape Town, CTII traces its roots to a 1970s coalition by Rabbi David Rosen and Dean King of the Anglican Cathedral. Motivated by the apartheid era Group Areas Act and religious segregation, the group focuses on bridge-building between faith-based groups in Cape Town and beyond.
