A Cape Town choir performing major choral works with professional musicians.

The Symphony Choir of Cape Town brings together music enthusiasts who come together to perform major choral works under the direction of Levi Alexander and guest conductors. Founded in 1972 by Benito Moni and Dr Barry Smith, the choir has a rich history of collaboration with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra and other prestigious ensembles. Over the decades, it has featured talented choral directors and provided a platform for young soloists to shine in large-scale performances. More than just a choir, the group promotes the joy of live music, believing that singing and listening feed the soul. Through its concerts, the Symphony Choir of Cape Town continues to celebrate choral excellence and share the transformative power of music with audiences.
