The Chi City Craft Club serves as a central hub for fiber enthusiasts in Chicago, providing a dedicated crafting studio located at 4554 North Broadway, Suite 201 in Uptown. Members can participate in regular workshops and meetups or book a day pass to work on their own projects alongside other creators. The club recently announced a cross-stitch photo workshop scheduled for October 21. Beyond the studio, the community is supported by several other groups including Chicago Knitters Unite, which gathers regularly at Old Irving Brewing Co. for knitting, crocheting, and social meals. The Windy City Knitting Guild welcomes fiber friends of all levels to join its virtual meetings twice monthly, in-person hangouts, and workshops with guest educators, offering a monthly newsletter and a members-only Discord. Additionally, Chicago Sews brings together sewists for monthly virtual sessions and in-person gatherings at various Chicago Public Libraries, such as the Albany Park Public Library on October 17, where participants bring their own materials to sewcialize.
