Southside STEM Station is a learning lab dedicated to expanding access to quality STEM programming for our Southside youth and communities. Located in one of Chicago's most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods, the station serves as a dedicated community and student space for free science learning and innovation. The organization maintains active partnerships with local schools and STEM non-profits to facilitate field trips, after-school programs, summer camps, family STEM events, and teacher professional development. Southside STEM Station employs dedicated programming staff and funding to manage and host ongoing programming and partnerships consistently. Additionally, the station offers tenant engagement opportunities for employees to volunteer at STEM STATION programming or host STEM events within the community. While the station is situated in a neighborhood rich with cultural landmarks, award-winning restaurants, and green spaces, its primary mission remains focused on educational equity and providing accessible STEM resources to underrepresented populations in the Southside area.
