Cleveland Clinic Hospice Volunteer Program
Volunteer with Cleveland Clinic Hospice to support patients and families in Cleveland.
Cleveland Clinic Hospice believes that no one facing a life-limiting illness needs to walk alone, and volunteers are an integral part of that journey. Giving just one hour a week can change two lives, supporting both a person on their final journey and your own. The program offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities to suit different interests and skills, including patient and family support, respite care, vigil volunteers, veteran volunteers, clerical tasks, tuck-in call volunteers, community and at-home support, gardens and grounds maintenance, and caring canine volunteers. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old and are required to complete the Cleveland Clinic Volunteer Services application and onboarding process. Onboarding includes a background check, fingerprinting, a review of policies and procedures, and a tuberculosis test provided at no cost, with additional requirements possibly applying depending on the chosen role. To learn more about becoming a hospice volunteer or to apply, individuals can contact the program directly.
