Dallas Symphony Chorus

The Dallas Symphony Chorus is the official vocal ensemble of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in Dallas.

The Dallas Symphony Chorus (DSC) serves as the official vocal ensemble of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, functioning as an all-volunteer group dedicated to supporting both classical and pops performances. Based in Dallas, the chorus regularly rehearses and performs at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center from August through May during the symphony season. Beyond local engagements, the DSC has toured internationally, including appearances in Israel in 1996, South America in 2003, and a fourth European tour in 2018 featuring stops in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Established in 1977 following a meeting between the orchestra's music director and key administrators, the chorus was created to enable regular performances of major choral works. Under the direction of Anthony Blake Clark, who began leading the chorus for the 2023/2034 season, the group has performed with over 75 internationally distinguished conductors since its first official performance in 1977. The organization maintains a permanent director position supported by a significant endowment gift, having been led by seven permanent directors over its history.
