Christian Action Centre for Refugees in Yau Tsim Mong District offers tutoring to refugee children.

The Christian Action Centre for Refugees is a local organization dedicated to supporting the education and well-being of primary and secondary school students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds in Hong Kong. Recognizing that these children often face academic challenges, language barriers, and a lack of accessible after-school activities, the centre provides a vital tutoring service to help them build confidence and social skills. Volunteers assist students aged 6 to 18 with subjects including Cantonese, English, Mathematics, and General Studies. Beyond academic support, the programme emphasizes encouragement and resilience, helping students navigate the high-pressure school environment. Participation requires registration with HandsOn Hong Kong, and volunteers must attend an initial information session before joining. The centre welcomes both English speakers and Cantonese speakers who can write traditional Chinese. Located in Yau Tsim Mong District, this initiative aims to empower marginalized youth by providing a safe space to learn and grow.
