Women's Group Lagos is a book club in Lagos for women who love reading and socializing.

Women’s Group Lagos is a social collective centered on women and reading, offering a space for women in Lagos to meet, socialize, and discuss books. Founded in 2020 by Mayowa Omogbenigun, an Investment Banking Analyst based in Lagos, the group was inspired by her experiences with reading groups and societies during university. The reading group meets on Saturday afternoons to discuss literature and hosts events such as book swaps and drives for young women and schoolgirls. The group's mission is to create a safe space for women in Lagos to discuss literature, form friendships, and share their thoughts. The organization also partners with Sanitary Aid for Nigerian Girls to collect and donate sanitary pads to less fortunate young women and girls. Women’s Group Lagos is currently working on an event in honor of Women’s History Month, which will be held in March. Participation is easy: members can fill out a membership form, follow the group on Instagram, and register for events. While the group currently holds physical meetings, they are considering ways to make events virtual to allow remote participation. The group encourages support through following on Instagram, joining the community, attending events (if the person is a woman), and donating to or volunteering for charities that focus on young women and girls.
