The Film Lovers Meet Up Group in Los Angeles hosts screenings of rare and classic films from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

The Film Lovers Meet Up Group is a community gathering in Los Angeles dedicated to showcasing rare and hard-to-find film classics from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Members frequently attend screenings where actors, producers, directors, and writers are present to introduce the films. The group operates out of multiple venues across the city, including the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, and the New Bev Cinema on Beverly Boulevard, among others like the Nuart Theatre and Laamle's. The organizer travels between the Valley, Santa Monica, and Hollywood to invite attendees from various parts of Los Angeles to join for a fun evening of movies, followed by coffee and, if time permits, a quick bite before the showings. Each week, a great screening is selected and invitations are extended to the community. The group also offers descriptions, locations, and start times for upcoming events. For those interested in good films, classics, rare gems, indie films, Q&A sessions, and making friends with similar interests, this group is highly recommended. Those primarily from the Valley may also consider the American Cinemateque Valley Film Meet Up group, while the main group welcomes everyone from Santa Monica, the Valley, and all over Los Angeles.
