Venice Run Club
Venice Run Club is a road running group meeting in Los Angeles for workouts and long runs.
The Venice Run Club (VRC) is a road running group founded in 2020 by Justin and Tyler, originally established to support racial injustice and local Venice Beach causes. The club meets every Tuesday at Santa Monica Community College for track workouts, every Wednesday evening at 2150 Dell Avenue for a large group run through Abbot Kinney, and on Saturday mornings for long runs ranging from 6 to 22 miles. With a membership that has grown from 80-100 to over 400 members, the group is known for its energetic community, welcoming atmosphere, and social nature. New members are encouraged to attend early to navigate parking and are greeted by a group leader who facilitates introductions and fun icebreakers. The weekly runs cover approximately 4.5 miles, offering options for different paces, and often conclude with vendor tables and opportunities to socialize at nearby bars. While the club's popularity occasionally causes traffic disruptions on local streets, the majority of residents and drivers support the group, viewing it as a positive community event.
