Helen's Hope Chest supports foster and kinship families in Mesa.

Helen's Hope Chest was created in 2009 in response to a significant reduction in basic needs financial assistance for Arizona foster families, alongside an influx of children needing care. Due to national financial hardships and the high cost of caring for children, many families faced difficult choices, leading them to foster fewer children or close their doors to new placements entirely. Established to address these challenges, Helen’s Hope Chest works to reduce the financial burden on foster and kinship families. At the same time, the organization focuses on creating a safe, welcoming, and dignified space for the children in their care. As an initiative connected to the community's support networks, it provides essential resources and relief to those who open their homes to vulnerable youth.
