The Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Bhayander East traces its origins to the early 1980s, when a small group of Catholic families from Bhayander, Mira Road, and Kashimira began gathering for prayer. Formal establishment occurred on September 28, 1984, with the first Malayalam Qurbana celebrated under the Syro-Malabar rite. The community grew to approximately 80 families by 1988, leading to the official founding of the parish on September 1, 1988, initially operating within Our Lady of Nazareth Church. A dedicated prayer hall and welfare center were constructed between 1990 and 1992, with the foundation stone laid in April 1992. The long-awaited church building was consecrated on February 17, 2001, by Mar Thomas Elavanal, and the parish was formally erected as a Trust on September 8, 2010. Today, the parish is served by the Daughters of Divine Providence congregation and currently maintains 220 registered families organized into 15 family units. Located at Fatak Road, Vikas Industrial Estate, Bhayandar East, the parish offers Holy Qurbana services on Sundays at 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, and on weekdays from Monday through Saturday at 7:30 pm. The area also hosts an Immaculate Nursery School. The parish is part of the Borivali Forane and is situated approximately 1.2 km from Bhayandar Station, accessible via local train, bus, or road.
