Rotary Club of Mumbai Lakers hosts annual community fundraising runs in Powai, Mumbai.
The Rotary Club of Mumbai Lakers organizes the Powai Run, a dynamic and purpose-driven community marathon that has evolved from a neighborhood initiative since 2012 into one of Mumbai's largest fundraising events. This annual race brings together runners, residents, corporate leaders, and change-makers who believe that fitness can fuel social transformation. The event serves as the flagship fundraiser for the Rotary Club, with proceeds directly supporting a wide range of charitable initiatives including life-saving child heart surgeries, cancer care and screening camps, girl child education, disability support, community health programs, environmental sustainability efforts like Plastic Free Powai, and hunger alleviation through the Annapurna Drive. In the most recent period, the club completed 244 service projects, touching nearly 8,000 lives through an investment of over ₹4.5 crore. The 2026 edition aims to raise ₹3 crore, scaling projects such as the Pink Auto Project to empower women through e-auto self-employment, expanded mental well-being programs, and further sustainability initiatives. Whether you are a runner, a corporate sponsor, or a volunteer, the Powai Run invites participation to create a ripple effect of community action that stretches far beyond race day.
