Riverside Park Conservancy volunteers in New York City to restore and maintain Riverside Park.

The Riverside Park Conservancy is dedicated to restoring, maintaining, and improving Riverside Park in partnership with the City of New York for the enjoyment and benefit of all New Yorkers. Our mission focuses on the preservation of the park's historic landscape, structures, and monuments while engaging the community in active stewardship. Through a wide range of public programs, we work to ensure the park remains a vibrant, accessible space for everyone. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in regular activities such as weeding introduced species, pruning native plants, raking leaves, and clearing debris in garden beds at locations like Sakura Park and Claremont. Additionally, members can support the care of the Ralph Ellison memorial by removing weeds, woody debris, and trash. All volunteer opportunities require registration through the organization's website. We invite individuals to join our efforts to protect and enhance this vital green space, fostering a sense of community ownership and ensuring Riverside Park continues to thrive as a cornerstone of New York City's public life.
