Hipline is a vibrant community dance space located in Oakland, featuring a diverse team of instructors with rich backgrounds in styles ranging from contemporary, hip hop, ballet, and jazz to Jamaican dancehall, belly dance, Samba, and Capoeira. Instructors bring unique movement vocabularies and cultural influences from the Bay Area and beyond, creating inclusive, empowering environments where participants can connect, move, and have fun. The group emphasizes body empowerment, pleasure, and expression over perfection, welcoming people of all abilities, shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds to experience dance as a form of joy, catharsis, and community connection.
