Senior Drop-in Center

The Senior Drop-in Center, a subfacility of South Portland Community Center, offers a welcoming space for seniors to gather and socialize. The center is ADA accessible and provides internet access, meeting rooms, and restrooms for visitors. A variety of free daily activities are available, all self-directed and open to all skill levels. Guests can play cards or games, knit with friends, or simply connect with others. Popular activities regularly offered include Mah-jongg, Cards, Creative Time, and Tea Time. No registration is required for any programs, and both South Portland residents and non-residents are welcome. The center operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Located at the South Portland Community Center, it is most easily accessed from the parking lot on Nutter Street. The space includes a kitchen, where snacks are often available, as well as three rooms that provide ample space for multiple simultaneous activities.
