A senior LGBTQ+ support and social program in San Diego offering games, meals, and classes.

50+ and Better Together is the Senior Services program at The Center in San Diego, dedicated to fostering a community of new friends for LGBTQ+ individuals aged 50 and older. This inclusive environment provides a variety of activities designed to connect seniors, including Game Day for socializing and Canasta, monthly Senior Lunch & Learn sessions, and specialized support groups such as the 50+ HIV Discussion Group and Prostate Cancer Support Group. Beyond social events, the program offers Feeling Fit classes to improve balance and strength, an Ageless Art Group for creative expression, and a Men's Discussion Group for GBT+ men. Participants can also enjoy free meals provided by The Center, the County of San Diego, and Jewish Family Service, as well as access to the Senior Food Bank. The Center further supports its senior community through the Cyber Center, which offers free computer and printing services, and a library with LGBTQ+ resources.
