Choir 8

Children's Choir

For children from K-5 through fifth grade, this choir teaches music in an enjoyable way fostering appreciation for the church and its music. Children participate monthly in the worship service, with rehearsals held Sunday mornings at 9:15am.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary choir for 10:45am worship from September through June, featuring adults of college age and above preparing music from all periods and styles. No formal audition is required, but a sincere commitment to service is necessary, with rehearsals held Thursdays at 6:15pm.

Shreveport Bossier Community Chorale

Founded in 2017, the Shreveport Bossier Community Chorale builds community and enriches lives through choral arts, offering artistic performances by volunteer singers from across northwest Louisiana. Led by Dr. Luke Lusted, the choir welcomes high schoolers and adults to join regular rehearsals and concerts.

St. Pius X Choir

We have a wonderful choir at St. Pius X where members sing during mass. Practices are held on Thursday nights at 6:15 when scheduled.

Summer Men's Choir

An ideal opportunity to give choir a try in a relaxed setting during the summer months, requiring less time commitment and open to anyone age sixth grade and above. Rehearsals take place on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30am.

Texas Street Singers

Led by Dr. Will Andress, this lively choir performs a diverse repertoire from Elvis to Mendelssohn and participates in worship services and community events throughout the SBC area.

Youth Bell Choir

Our handbell choirs use 4-octave handbells and 3-octave handchimes as hymn accompaniments and special music. The Youth Bell Choir is open to youth from sixth grade through twelfth grade, meeting in conjunction with Youth Fellowship on Sunday afternoons/evenings.

Youth Choir

Includes children grades sixth through twelfth, singing a variety of music styles throughout the school year with emphasis as music leaders for Youth Sunday. Rehearsals take place on Sunday afternoons preceding Youth Bells and Youth Fellowship.
