Catholic Charities of WNY

Catholic Charities of WNY serves eight Western New York counties with human services from Buffalo.

Catholic Charities of WNY is a Catholic-sponsored human service agency that serves anyone in need across the eight counties of Western New York. Guided by the belief that all persons are created by God, the organization advocates for equity and justice while empowering individuals, children, and families to achieve and maintain meaningful, healthy, and productive lives. Based in Buffalo, the agency operates a food pantry where volunteers help distribute nutritious food to those facing hunger. It also runs an Immigration and Refugee Assistance Program, offering volunteers opportunities to support newcomers as they navigate resettlement and integration. These volunteer roles reflect the agency’s broad commitment to addressing poverty, food insecurity, and the challenges faced by immigrant and refugee communities. By mobilizing community members to serve at the pantry and assist with immigration services, Catholic Charities extends its reach and impact throughout the region. The organization welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds to join its mission of compassion and justice, providing practical ways to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable Western New Yorkers.
