Cairo Celebration Choir

The Cairo Celebration Choir, founded in 2000 by Nayer Nagui, is a multicultural ensemble based in Cairo. With over 120 members from various nationalities, the choir performs a wide repertoire, including Christmas concerts at the Cairo Opera House. They have recorded Mozart's Ave Verum as part of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Mozart CD selection and performed at the opening of the 30th Cairo International Film Festival in 2006. Many members also participated in the A Capella Choir of the Cairo Opera House for Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony, conducted by Gilbert Kaplan. The choir continues to be an active part of Cairo's musical scene, drawing from numerous music academies and societies.
