Lagos Food Bank Initiative in Lagos offers volunteering opportunities to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

The Lagos Food Bank Initiative in Lagos is a community-driven organization that relies on volunteers to combat hunger and food insecurity. Volunteers play a crucial role in collecting, sorting, packing, and distributing food and donations to vulnerable families, seniors, mothers, and children in need. Whether volunteering once a week, once a month, or once a year, every hour of service helps ensure that families have access to food during times of need. The initiative offers various volunteer opportunities, including virtual volunteering, warehouse sorting and packing, community outreach, beneficiary registration, special programs like EDUFOOD and Family Farming, and mobile pantry support. Volunteers also contribute to office administration, fundraising, and social media efforts. The initiative also has a program for 'Lagos Food Bank Champions' who help raise funds for outreaches and special programs. Volunteers who complete 120 hours of service are awarded a community service certificate. To get started, volunteers can fill out an online registration form and receive onboarding instructions.
