Long Beach Chess Club

Casual chess meetups in Long Beach for players of all levels.

The Long Beach Chess Club brings together chess players of all skill levels in a relaxed, beachside setting. Meetings take place at public spots and local breweries, offering free, open-play sessions—particularly on Sundays—where beginners can learn alongside more experienced players. The club’s casual atmosphere makes it an ideal place to enjoy a game of chess while taking in the coastal vibe of Long Beach. Whether you're looking for a friendly match, a chance to improve, or simply a fun way to spend an afternoon, these meetups provide an accessible and welcoming environment for chess enthusiasts in the area.
