The Nefesh Tikkun Collective in Los Angeles engages in social action, housing support, climate activism, and community care.

The Nefesh Tikkun Collective in Los Angeles is a community dedicated to Tikkun Olam, or 'world repair,' which involves healing, social action, and the pursuit of social justice. As an emerging community, Nefesh engages in various initiatives to address critical needs in the county. The group is a member of LA Voice, a multi-racial, multi-faith organization, and participates in housing and financial insecurity initiatives. Nefesh is also an official Dayenu Circle, mobilizing support for climate bills and divestment campaigns to combat the climate crisis. Monthly volunteers collaborate with STEP, St. Athanasius, and Echo Park United Methodist Church to provide free laundry services at Luxe Laundry in Echo Park. Additionally, Nefesh partners with CLUE and EPIC to support immigrant neighbors, ensuring their safety and materially assisting those seeking asylum. The collective also works with St. Be's to distribute free fruits and vegetables in the Eagle Rock area and operates the Sisterhood of All Genders to provide community care and welcome new members. Acknowledging they are guests on Tongva land, Nefesh supports the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Conservancy. For those interested in connecting or learning about specific ways to engage in these social justice efforts, the community welcomes inquiries via email. As the present moment unfolds, Nefesh continues to develop its social justice work and respond to current needs through these diverse avenues of action and care.
