Save Liberty Park is a community group in Los Angeles dedicated to preserving Liberty Park.

Save Liberty Park is a community group in Los Angeles dedicated to preserving Liberty Park, a unique public resource located in Koreatown. Completed in 1967 as part of Beneficial Plaza on Wilshire Blvd., the park was designed by landscape architect Peter Walker, known for its graceful curves and striking contrasts. In a dense urban neighborhood lacking green space, Liberty Park serves as a vital escape where residents can relax on the grass or read in the shade. It has also functioned as a gathering place for community events, including Earth Day celebrations and World Cup Soccer rallies. The group formed to oppose a proposed mixed-use complex rising 30+ stories that threatened to reduce the park to scraps of green space. The project was initially reviewed under a Mitigated Negative Declaration, which incorrectly concluded that it would have no impact on historic resources, despite Beneficial Plaza holding an important place in the area's history. Save Liberty Park has worked to raise awareness and urge City Hall to change course, successfully preserving the park. The group continues to advocate for the protection of this unique landscape and its significance to the Koreatown community.
